Monday 15 February

Wow, I can't believe I haven't blogged before now! Time flies even if you are not having a whole lot of fun. LOL. Brielle flew out to Las Vegas last Tuesday at 6AM she arrived back at home Friday evening. She said it was fun but it was exhausting. She attended a white party that Paul Mitchell puts on and that was fun to get dressed up for. The only real famous people she got to see were Donny and Marie Osmond. I spent Tuesday off with Kelsea for her birthday, we went to the mall, she got to get all of her nails painted, on her feet and fingers, lol. We ate at Chili's for her bday and had a yummy chocolate molten cake for her dessert. We went to her school to watch their last home basketball game, they won their games. Then off to Cold Stone to get more ice cream. Thursday I went to the eye doctor got contact lenses so I can see at a distance without glasses, but have to use reading glasses again. But it's nice to be able to see afar without glasses again. Friday I went to see Dear John with a friend from work, we liked it. She had read the book before the movie came out, she said the book had a different ending. Then on Saturday night the family went to see Valentine's Day, and yes even George came with us. It was cute. A lot of good actors in it. Sunday went to Church then to Chili's for lunch, then home to do homework. Brielle put highlights in my hair while I did research on the Internet for a group project I have in another class. George got me a nice card and more candy! for Valentine's! I don't need anymore candy in this house. My sweet Dad got me candy too and Kelsea is selling "The World's Finest Chocolate" so there's more candy we have in the house and at work. There's chocolate everywhere! But I love it! Okay so I haven't been jumping rope anymore because I can hardly walk my knees hurt so bad. I probably should have stretched them some before I started that form of exercise. I'm trying to get them back to normal. It hurts every time I walk. I plan to go walking when the weather gets warmer. We walked last summer it was nice. I love walking in our neighborhood. It's the old part of Fayetteville where the homes are all original, most built in the early 1900's and up. Our house was built in 1949. Some around here were built in 1904. It's really cool to look at them all while walking. Well it's off to do more homework. Have a nice week everybody.

Saturday

What have I done today? Cleaned our bathroom, ran errands with Kelsea, ate lunch at Chick-fil-a, yummy, they have the best sweet tea ever, that's what I live for, then back home to finish cleaning, filing bills, doing homework. Now we are getting ready to go see Book of Eli, the movie. I have heard good and not so good about it, but mostly good, so we will see. I want to see Dear John and so do my girls. But George has had to put up with girlie movies the past couple of times so it's his turn. Oh and I am up to 80 jumps on the ole jump rope, and yes my legs and ankles and feet have been aching pretty badly, that just shows you how out of shape I'm am.

I have a brother and a sister that live in nothern Virginia and they got over two feet of snow between yesterday and today, boy am I glad I'm not there! I do not like the snow, I mean it's pretty, but I do not like the cold weather! They sent me pictures, it's pretty deep.

Nancy's Little Introduction

Off to Raleigh!

I took the day off from work to go to Raleigh with Brielle on one of her very few days off from school/work. She is going to Las Vegas next week and will be attending a White Party, so everything she wears has to be white! We didn't even try to look here in Fayetteville we just headed to Raleigh and she found what she was looking for, it was hard to find white outfits at this time of the year. She found white high, very high heel shoes, which were also hard to find. We went back to The Cheesecake Factory and got another piece of cheesecake, so guess what I'm going to have to do now, yep, go jump rope until my lungs start to burn. This is my first week starting to exercise, I really do not enjoy exercising, but I enjoy eating so, guess I had better do something to burn these calories. So the first night I jumped rope, my lungs really started to burn, so I stopped. I didn’t get many jumps in, then the second night I jumped I counted 50 jumps. I was pretty darn tired too. Then last night I made it to 60! Let’s see what I can do tonight.

Mama Mia!

Brielle and I went to see Mama Mia at the DPAC on Sunday night. It was a lot of fun. This was part of Brielle's birthday gift. We ate at The Cheesecake Factory first and we ordered a piece of cheesecake to go, chocolate mousse silk, something like that anyway. So on our way home we were looking for a McDonalds, because we wanted a nice fresh coca-cola to go with our cheesecake. We proceeded to ask our TomTom for directions to the nearest McDonalds, well it gave us directions all right. It sent us back towards the DPAC and when looking around the area, I'm telling Brielle, I do not see any golden arches! It was closed! I was disappointed, then we tried to find a Starbucks for Brielle, nope, couldn't find it, so then we forgot ole TomTom and just started looking at the billboards for McDonalds. Sure enough there was the blue information sign on the side of the road and it had a McDonalds on it! So excited, but not for long because we got off on this exit and then it proceeded to take us down a country road covered with snow and ice, I was a little afraid. Then a truck went flying by us and ran a red light! Crazy driver! Well after driving down this country road for a couple of miles and to the right was our beloved McDonalds! Finally, we found Coke! I told Brielle, "We are NOT going back that way!". Thankfully we didn't have to, we found I-40 not too far away. So we ate our cheesecake, drank our large cokes and sang with Shania Twain all the way home. It was fun and delicious!

Introduction

Hello Everyone! My name is Nancy Saunders and I am married to George Saunders who is also in this class. We have been married for eight years. I have two girls from a previous marriage, Brielle is 19 and Kelsea is 17. The girls are fun and are such a blessing, yes we have our moments, but all in all they are good girls. I am blessed with a good husband because he has to put up with us three girls! George has a small family, he has one sister who lives in Texas, so he prayed he would meet someone with a large family, and his prayer was answered. I have seven brothers and one sister. My parents are going on 62 years of marriage, they have 17 grandchildren, one great grandchild and one on the way. Now that's a crew!
